Google Drive connection

Google authorization requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. This permission can access all Drive files. The application's own account and folder checks restrict workflow operations to the owner's configured Core Clips archive; Google does not limit this scope to those folders.

The archive contains existing folders and files created outside this dedicated connection. The workflow needs to find and validate those objects and, when enabled, preserve new Core Clips files alongside them. It preserves original media and existing work. Connecting the account does not authorize deleting originals or automatically switching the running archive to a new connection.

YouTube connection

Core Clips uses YouTube API Services to verify the owner-authorized Core Clips channel, upload finished videos and thumbnails, manage their titles and descriptions, and check private uploads before approved scheduling or public release.

The YouTube connection requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl. This broad permission can view, edit and permanently delete videos, ratings, comments and captions. Core Clips limits its own operations to the verified channel and the owner's instructions; it does not implement comment or caption management or automatic removal of existing publications. Google consent grants access, while the workflow's content and release checks still control publication.

The archive and publishing connections may appear as Core Clips Drive and Core Clips YouTube in Google authorization. They serve this one private workflow and have separate credentials.

Current status

The dedicated Google connections are being set up and validated. Initial account checks are read-only. The complete channel workflow has not passed end-to-end acceptance.

Core Clips includes AI-assisted editorial work under the owner's instructions. AI processing and publication have separate operational checks. A successful Drive connection does not establish that those stages are ready.

The wider workflow is intended to prepare edited videos and thumbnails for YouTube, including private upload checks and eventual scheduled or public releases. YouTube connection and publication acceptance checks remain incomplete, and publishing is disabled until they pass. Connecting Drive does not enable YouTube.
